Posted: November 3rd, 2009 | Author: admin | Filed under: evento | Tags: design de interação, interaction design, IxDA | No Comments »EXCELLENCE IN INTERACTION DESIGN
What is the competition?
The Interaction Design Association (IxDA) is committed to supporting the global community of practice for those practicing interaction design (IxD) regardless of specific roles in their day-to-day lives. As the discipline of IxD matures, the need for closer ties to design education programs that include the discipline of IxD intensifies. Every year the Interaction conference is hosted by an educational institution with strong commitments towards creating tomorrow’s designers with a strong base in IxD. This year we want to extend this link with education by running our first Global Student Competition.
This year’s theme is “Excellence in Interaction Design”
The competition is open to any individual student or recent graduate (within 1 yr.) who have completed a project they feel exemplifies interaction design excellence.
Appropriate submissions can be practical or conceptual so long as they fit this theme of interaction design excellence. Work that is primarily about market research or technological feasibility is not appropriate for submission to this competition.
Who can enter?
Any individual student and recent graduate (within 1 yr of diploma conferment) from relevant undergraduate and graduate programs regardless of program type or location around the world. Whether you are in a program for HCI, Industrial Design, Information Architecture, Computer Science, Interactive Design, Graphic Design, Experience Design, Communication Design, Instructional Design, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Exhibition Design, Architecture, Jewellery, and of course IxD.
When do I need to have my entry ready?
The Competition happens in two stages:
STAGE 1: electronic submission of a process book
Submissions for stage 1 will be accepted between 23-NOV and 30-NOV (11:59pm US/Pacific Standard Time). Get more information on Stage 1.
